MaxPitch Media, Inc. owns and operates justsell.com, bguides.com and prospectsweekly.com. These sites are collectively referred to as the MaxPitch Media websites throughout this statement.

MaxPitch Media respects your privacy and values our relationship with our subscribers and visitors. This privacy statement explains what you can expect from us in terms of protecting your privacy.

This statement covers what information MaxPitch Media collects and gathers from its visitors and subscribers, when that information might be shared and how you can contact us to make any changes or remove your name from one of MaxPitch Media's list of subscribers.

This privacy statement applies to your relationship with MaxPitch Media (which includes your relationship with justsell.com, bguides.com and/or prospectsweekly.com) only. It does not apply to any interactions or information you choose to provide advertisers, partners or websites you visit from one of the sites owned by MaxPitch Media; each of these organizations will use any information you give them, or is collected by them, in accordance with their privacy statement and practices.

maxpitch media's websites and services

The MaxPitch Media websites include links to advertisers, other websites and contains sections that are operated by vendors.

MaxPitch Media sells products through a partnership with CafePress. When you are purchasing products through CafePress, the information you are providing to process the transaction is handled by CafePress and their privacy practices will apply.

MaxPitch Media sells digital products using the shopping cart and technical services of 1shoppingcart.com. The information you provide to process the transaction is available to MaxPitch Media and 1shoppingcart.com.

newsletter subscribers and visitors

You need to be a subscriber to each of MaxPitch Media's websites in order to have full access to the content published and services provided. Subscribing means you have signed up to receive communications from a particular MaxPitch Media website, its advertisers and partners. Subscribing is free.

As a subscriber, you will receive email from the MaxPitch Media website and/or its advertisers and partners. Your email address is not shared with these advertisers or partners. MaxPitch Media employs a professional email hosting company to deliver its email newsletters and advertisements. A strict confidentiality agreement exists to protect and secure your privacy.

As a subscriber, you will receive postal mail from MaxPitch Media and/or its advertisers and partners. Your postal mailing address is provided to advertisers and/or its mailing service bureau. MaxPitch Media employs a professional list management company to coordinate postal mailings on behalf of its advertisers.

When you subscribe to a MaxPitch Media website, which means you are choosing to sign up to receive one of our newsletter, have access to content, and/or receive one of our services, you will provide personal and/or corporate information. This information is maintained in a secure environment and is not shared with other partners other than those occasions that are outlined in this statement.

You may choose to discontinue receiving any one or all communications at any time. There are specific instructions in each email how to remove your email address or discontinue a particular email newsletter.

information collected and gathered and how it is used

When you visit a MaxPitch Media website, information that is collected and gathered includes the following:
  • Any information you provide to register including full name, mailing address, email address, company name, phone number, fax number, industry, and role in organization. This information is used in aggregate and anonymous formats to sell advertising to our clients.
  • IP addresses which are automatically provided by your browser to website log servers
  • Information made available through the use of cookies.
  • Responses by subscribers to advertisers are tracked. This information is made available only in aggregate and anonymous formats to advertisers.

how the information might be shared

Information that is collected or gathered by MaxPitch Media from visitors and subscribers is not shared, rented or sold to any other party, except as noted in the exceptions below.
  • Aggregated and anonymous information is made available to attract advertisers and partners to MaxPitch Media. This means demographic information about the entire subscriber base is summarized and presented to other companies.
  • Postal addresses are shared with advertisers who have rented the postal addresses of MaxPitch Media subscribers for advertising offers to be mailed. Advertisers are contractually obligated not to share, resell or reuse the address information.
  • Information you provide may be shared with MaxPitch Media vendors who are connected to the website specifically to provide a service (e.g. shopping cart). The information is shared only to the extent necessary to complete the transaction you have chosen to conduct. Only the information you provide at the time of the transaction is shared.
  • Information is shared in response to subpoenas, court orders and other legal proceedings, or in order to defend MaxPitch Media's legal rights.
  • Information is shared if we believe it is necessary to prevent or investigate illegal activities, suspected illegal activities or concerns regarding personal safety.
  • Information is shared in the event that MaxPitch Media, Inc. is acquired by another company.

MaxPitch Media may use cookies at times to track activity of visitors to the website. Cookies do not disclose any personal information about a visitor. Cookies may be used to customize certain pages, track items placed in online shopping carts, and track or target advertisements. MaxPitch Media's advertisers, or their advertising networks, may use cookies in their advertisements.

MaxPitch Media and its advertisers may use transparent gifs or web beacons to track activities with specific advertisements. A transparent gif or web beacon reports when an email is opened or an advertisement is seen and helps record information to determine the effectiveness of an advertisement or email communication. Transparent gifs or web beacons do not gather or share personal information.

When you sign up with MaxPitch Media, you're signing up to receive communications from MaxPitch Media and/or its advertisers. These communications may be in the form of postal mail, email or telephone calls. Specifically, by signing up with a MaxPitch Media website, you consent to:
  • receive communication by email (either us directly or our advertisers)
  • receive communication by postal mail (either us directly or our advertisers)
  • receive communication by telephone (either us directly or our advertisers)
  • receive communications with special messages, administrative messages, or announcements
  • the terms outlined in this privacy statement understanding it may updated and modified over time.

removing and updating your information procedures

You can make changes at any time and discontinue receiving any or all email newsletters at any time.

To discontinue receiving email communications:
  • click the link at the bottom of each email to "change your profile or unsubscribe" and follow the instructions
  • email max@maxpitch.com with "remove email address please" in the subject line and include the email address at which you have been receiving email communications and to which website(s) you subscribed (i.e. justsell.com, bguides.com, prospectsweekly.com).
  • call us at (804) 762-4500 and ask us to discontinue sending emails and provide us with the email address at which you have been receiving email communication and from which website.
Unsubscribing from one MaxPitch Media website will not affect your subscription to any other MaxPitch Media website. If you'd like to discontinue all communications from all websites, please let us know.

By unsubscribing or removing your email address, you are not removing your postal address from the mailing list. See below for additional instructions.

To discontinue receiving postal communications:
  • send us a postal letter to the attention of Postal Removal Request at the address below. Please provide the complete postal address at which you have been receiving communication and from which MaxPitch Media website.
  • email max@maxpitch.com with "remove postal address please" in the subject line and include your complete postal address at which you have been receiving communications and from which MaxPitch Media website.
  • call us at (804) 762-4500 and ask us to remove your postal address and provide us with the complete postal address at which you have been receiving communication and from which MaxPitch Media website.
Postal removal request are handled upon receipt however lists rented previously by advertisers may still contain the address and may take up to three months for updates to take effect.
